MT5 works differently from IBKR: install and open the MetaTrader 5 desktop terminal, then sign in to your broker's demo server inside MT5. The eventual local bot will connect through that terminal. The path above is a common Windows default; change it if yours differs. Leave account and server blank to use the terminal's active session. Never enter your MT5 password on this website. These settings are configuration only; the MT5 installer is still gated until the adapter is tested.
